My Birth Doula Care aims to enhance your confidence, sense of agency and self-efficacy as you prepare physically and emotionally for childbirth and early parenthood. It includes:

  • Initial consultation interview
  • 6 hours of prenatal meetings. I listen and learn how I can best support you and your partner. We practice physical and emotional coping methods, discuss the day-of labor plan and self-care in the postpartum period.
  • Lending library of birth, newborn care and parenting books, DVDs and audio tracks
  • Help in drafting your customized birth and newborn care plan
  • Use of a TENS unit
  • Continuous labor support from the time you request my presence at your home and/or birth venue through delivery until the initial hours after your baby’s birth.
  • 24-hour on-call service from week 37 until baby is born
  • Back-up doula service
  • Postpartum visit to review your birth, admire your baby, check on how you are doing and offer referrals

My fee is $2,600.
